Adam Greivell was selected by the Washington County Republican Central Committee in December, 2022, to fill the vacancy that followed the retirement of the former Chair, Jerry DeWolf.  In November, 2023, Adam was elected to be the Chair of the Committee.

Adam is a lifelong resident of Washington County, growing up in Cearfoss and attending elementary and middle school at Maugansville and then St. Mary's Catholic School, before attending and graduating from St. Maria Goretti High School.  Adam obtained an Associate's Degree in Administration of Justice from Hagerstown Community College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore before graduating law school from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana.

Adam returned to Maryland directly after law school and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2005, and the Federal Bar in 2009.  Adam established his own law practice in Hagerstown, Maryland, in 2010 and has been a go-to litigation attorney serving the needs of citizens, businesses and non-profits in Western Maryland ever since.  Adam's firm, Greivell & Garrott Johnson, LLC, has three full-time attorneys in addition to a retired judge, serving of counsel.

Adam was nominated by a 13 member commission to Governor Larry Hogan in 2019 for consideration for a Circuit Court judicial appointment.  Thereafter, Adam ran for Circuit Court judge in 2022, narrowly missing the Republican primary nomination by 326 votes.  Adam's achievement of 48.6% of Republican voters was the strongest showing against an incumbent judge in over 100 years in Washington County.

Adam has litigated many high profile cases in Washington County and is widely known as a tireless advocate for his clients' rights, regularly confronting and holding the government accountable.  Recently, Adam led a group of citizen voters in a challenge regarding the selection of Washington County early voting centers up to the Supreme Court of Maryland in advance of the 2024 primary election.

As a member and Chair of the Republican Central Committee, Adam continues to advance and protect the interests of conservative Washington County.
