Mam Malick Thiam
Malick Thiam was born and raised in Guinea, West Africa. He received most of his formal education in Guinea and Belgium as well as in the United States. He has a bachelor's degree in Law and Ethic from University Poly technic Gamal Abdel Nasar Guinea West Africa; master's degree from Catholic University of Louvain Belgium in Political Science and Management. He also completed a professional computer accounting program from Ashworth University. Later in life, Malick attended and graduated from Strayer University where he received his master's degree in business administration in 2013.
While growing up in Guinea, Malick experienced many challenges because of Guinea's socialist political views. Malick was required to participate in military training in East Germany and Cuba. He was thrown in jail because he spoke against the bad behaviors of the president; the people of Guinea struggled. People lived with one dollar a day; some ate every other day. Guinea was and still is a true socialist country that is under military coup.
Since 1982, Malick has been a resident of the United States of America and received his green card. He filed for change of status in 2009 and became a citizen of the United States when he proudly took the oath with many others who were looking for a better life.
In 1996 he retired from "Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinee" (in Guinea). He moved to Paris to work for SEDECO, which is an import and export company based in France. Malick served as vice president for 3 years then moved to the USA in 2000.
Prior to deciding to move to the United States, Malick was employed with Halco subsidiary of ALCOA (Aluminum Company of America) as the company's Superintendent and vice president Halco for 25 years. He oversaw 4500 employees where his primary duties included managing the human resources department, accounting department, purchasing, (food, spare parts, goods and services) and transportation (by ship, road, railroad, and air).
Malick spent several years traveling back and forth between Guinea, the United States and Europe in his role as vice president of Halco. He especially enjoyed the time working with the auditing company Coopers & Lybrand when he was given an opportunity to work in Texas (Point Comfort, Corpus Christi, Victoria, Houston, and Edna); North Carolina, (Wilmington, Warsaw, and Kenansville).
Since becoming a citizen of the United States, Malick worked as a car salesman for DARCARS 355, maintenance engineer at a large hotel chain, team associate for TARGET, and a direct care staff for individuals with autism. Malick is currently a Residential Program Manager with Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children where he's been employed for nearly 20 years. Malick believes if you work hard in whatever capacity you're serving, God will bless you abundantly in your efforts.
Malick is currently a member of the Washington County Republican Central Committee. He is currently running for Treasurer of Washington County as well as the Republican central committee. He's a member of the NRA; Republican Presidential Task Force; member of Heritage training and shooting; President Trump National Committee Advisory Board; and a member of the North American Gun Club.
He's married to Brenda J. Thiam who is the State Delegate representing District 2B. They have a teenage daughter and two dogs. Malick holds a strong belief in the fact that you must work hard to achieve those things in life that you desire. No one is going to give you anything for free. Malick believes that deciding to become a citizen of the United States of America is the best decision he could have made in his life.
Malick came from a communist country and loves this country he now calls home. He believes that it's the responsibility of every American to save America from the woke mentality, crazy opinions, bad behaviors to save the American dream.
