Jerry DeWolf


Jerry DeWolf  was born and raised in Lyons NY, a small rural town in upstate NY. He graduated from the Lyons Jr Sn High School in 1999. Enlisting in the US Navy Submarine Force after high school, Jerry completed basic training and went through the Naval Nuclear Power Training Pipeline as a Nuclear trained electrician’s mate, and then was assigned to the  USS Springfield (SSN-761), a Las Angeles Class Nuclear fast Attack Submarine. From July 2001, to October 2006, Jerry rose through the ranks and served as Acting Electrical Division Chief.  Jerry was honorably discharged after 8 years of service as an EM1(SS) or E-6, in July of 2007, and relocated to Keedysville Maryland. 

Jerry was appointed to the Central Committee in November 2014 following the resignation of long time Party Officer Bob Sweeney> Jerry was elected in 2018, and has served as Chairman from November 2016 until November of 2021. In November 2021, Jerry decided not to seek re-election as Chair, but did seek and won election as 1st Vice Chair of the Committee, essentially switching places with Seth Wilson. In April 2022  upon the resignation of Seth Wilson as Chair so that he could run for State Delegate in District 2A, Jerry resumed his former role as Chair.  Jerry has also served in several roles for congressional campaigns, and has volunteered for several others, as well as serving as the treasurer for the Republican Club. Jerry also served as the Chair of the MDGOP Credentials Committee from 2018 until 2021, and in 2019, was awarded the Maryland Republican Party's  'Republican Man of the Year' award.

Jerry was a plaintiff in the US Supreme Court Case Benisek V Lamone also known as the Maryland Redistricting Case, which was decided in June 2019 against the plaintiffs. As a Plaintiff, Jerry held the honor of attending two Supreme Court Hearings regarding the case. 

Jerry is married to Chrystal (Hoover) DeWolf,  and together they have three children; Eleanor, Evelyn, and Benjamin and reside in Keedysville Maryland. Jerry is a Christian and an avid history buff. Jerry works for Getinge Infection Control, Life Science Division performing electrical, and mechanical engineering for bio-containment applications at Fort Detrick Army Base.
